Perry teams up with hitmaker (real name Lukasz Gottwald) 143Some online were outraged that Kesha chose to work with him again after allegations that he drugged and sexually assaulted them. Dr. Luke has vehemently denied the allegations and has filed a defamation lawsuit against him. (They settled out of court.) CHD Host Alex Cooper asked Perry why she chose to include the producer on the new album.

“I understand that this has led to a lot of conversations, and he was one of many collaborators that I’ve worked with. But the truth is, it comes from me,” Perry replied. “The truth is, I wrote these songs from my own experiences of this change that I’ve been through my entire life, and he was one of the people who helped facilitate all of that. He’s one of the writers, he’s one of the producers. I’m speaking from my own experience.”

Perry previously collaborated with Dr. Luke on some of his biggest hits, including “Teenage Dream,” “California Gurls” and “I Kissed a Girl.” He co-produced and co-wrote his latest singles “Woman’s World” and “Lifetimes.”

“When I talk about ‘Woman World,’ I talk about feeling so powerful as a mother, as a woman, giving birth, creating life, creating another set of organs,” she added. “I still feel really connected to that as a matriarch, that’s where I speak. So I created all of this with a few different collaborators, people I’ve worked with from the past, from the ‘Teenage Dream’ era. All of that.”

Perry didn’t directly address the allegations against Dr. Luke on the podcast. However, the “Roar” singer was well aware of the situation after he and Kesha were dragged into a legal battle years ago. Kesha claimed the producer had also mistreated Perry, which the latter was denied under oath.

Bloom probably keeps the house A lot Perry revealed that her love language is “acts of service,” and said that she finds it attractive when a romantic partner helps out “around the house.”

“Share the burden or help lighten the burden,” she explained. “The burden can be very heavy for women, and there are a lot of invisible things that we do, and it’s about sharing the burden.”

Perry continued: “If I come downstairs and see the kitchen is clean, everything done, dishes washed and pantry doors closed, you should be ready to get your pussy sucked.”

The singer admitted that they do house cleaning during the week but not on the weekends, so she was happy for Bloom to step in.

“Literally. It’s my love language. I don’t need a red Ferrari! I can buy a red Ferrari. Just do the f***ing dishes! I’ll suck your dick! It’s that easy,” she concluded.

The couple began dating in 2016 and eventually took a year-long break — which Perry says was “really hard” — before reconciling and getting engaged.

“We weren’t really into it from day one,” she explained. “He had been single for a long time and had intentions. I had just come out of a relationship… but I had to do a lot of real work.”

The couple went separately Hoffman Institute It’s a transformative, weeklong retreat in California. (“It helps you rewire all your bad habits and rewire your neural pathways through different physical activities,” she explained.) Bloom was the first to sign up.

“He went there and he wasn’t playing that cat-and-mouse game anymore,” Perry recalls. “And I said, ‘This is boring. I’m moving on.’ I was so used to that push-and-pull. Because once you have it. I was playing games.”

The couple broke up but got back together after Perry’s experience. “It saved my life. I would be dead without it. I wouldn’t be on this planet without this process and meditation,” she said.

Bloom and Perry now have a 4-year-old daughter named Daisy.

“I showed him the worst side of me,” Perry said at one point, describing how she went through one of the toughest times in her life after her 2018 album. Witness “I said, ‘Here’s the next test. I’m gonna show you the craziest bitch you’ve ever seen,’ and she said, ‘I’m not shaken.’ I said, ‘You’re my baby’s daddy.’ If you’re not shaken by that, then we’re going to go far.”

Perry praised Bloom for being a “pillar” who supported her through the downturn.

“I’m usually just the alpha, the alpha, you know? I’m like testosterone, testosterone. ‘I’ve got this, I don’t need help.’ But I actually need help. I need a partner,” she said before breaking down in tears. “I went on a guided journey the other day. And as strong as I am, I was like, ‘No, I need it. I need it.’ And sometimes I need help. It was a beautiful revelation.”

Perry has described entering a dark period after her fourth album failed to achieve the commercial success of her previous hits. (Remember her)purposeful pop” era?)

“It was the universe’s way of saying, ‘You’re sending a very powerful message about self-love. Let’s see it, baby,'” Perry said.

“Before success, it was like this, Am I good enough? I’ll show you. Proof proof proof. I was right! F***ing right, let’s go! And then it changes and it changes and it settles for everybody — maybe not for a few people — but it settles and it holds on tight because life is about peaks and valleys… light can’t exist without darkness.”
