Nighttime closures coming to 91, 71 freeways in Corona – Orange County Register

Connections from the northbound 91 Freeway to the 71 Freeway in Corona will be closed overnight in both directions on Friday, September 6.

The Riverside County Transportation Commission reported that crews will remove overhead signs on northbound Highway 71 It was announced.

The Closures It’s a result of the 71/91 Intersection Project, which aims to improve traffic congestion between Riverside, Orange and San Bernardino counties, the commission says in a news release.

Vehicles will not be able to access the highway from either direction.

The westbound link will remain closed from 9pm on Friday, September 7, until 6am on Saturday. The eastbound link will remain closed from midnight on Saturday until 7am.

Transportation officials recommend drivers use other routes, such as Highway 15 heading north or use We follow route 57 northwards and reach highway 60.

Drivers traveling to routes along 71, including Chino, Chino Hills and Pomona, are advised to use alternate routes and avoid the 71/91 intersection.

Connections from southbound 71 to eastbound and westbound 91 will be open.
