‘I feel like I’ve played so much tennis, competed so much and pushed my body so much, so I know I’m going to have little ailments and injuries and I just have to keep going.

‘At the end of the day it didn’t get any worse and I felt good towards the end. I was happy it didn’t become a problem.’

Meanwhile, Draper is downplaying comparisons to British tennis legend Murray. ESPN: ‘I want to be Jack Draper, not Andy Murray.’
