Penn State’s five offensive keys against Bowling Green

Penn State’s five offensive keys against Bowling Green

Ben Queen – USA TODAY Sports

Despite the efficient offensive performance against West Virginia, only five players caught passes, two of them running backs. Penn State led the entire game, so the team only threw the ball 17 times, but it would have been nice to see more pass catchers involved this weekend.

Julian Fleming didn’t see a catch in his first game at Penn State, so seeing him get into action on offense would be a big positive from this weekend. Playing a non-conference game can have a lot of benefits, including experimenting with different personnel. The Nittany Lions should be all over the place against the Falcons this Saturday, especially when it comes to their passing offense.
