A highway in Virginia was partially closed after a crash that resulted in a semi-truck overturning vertically on Thursday.

The westbound lanes of Interstate 64 near Interstate 295 were closed “due to a crash involving a tractor-trailer,” Henrico police said.

In a photo shared on social media, a truck’s trailer is seen standing in front of a badly damaged highway sign.

“While crews work to safely reopen the interstate, please find alternative routes if you are traveling through the area,” police said.

According to local reports, traffic was disrupted for miles due to the incident.

Police officers told the media that the driver was charged with reckless driving.
