Reviews of All Films Screened at Toronto Film Festival TIFF 2024

Aspect Toronto International Film Festival is setting out, Hollywood Reporter From biopics to documentaries, gripping epics to intimate character studies, tear-jerking dramas to laugh-out-loud comedies, critics share their thoughts on this year’s movies.

Several of this year’s list have premiered at other festivals throughout the year. The programme also includes a number of highly anticipated world premieres, including David Gordon Green’s NutcrackerMarielle Heller Night whore and Angelina Jolie Bloodlessamong many, among many. Also, the feature filmmaking debuts of names like TV director Andrew DeYoung (Friendship), commercial and music video director Fleur Fortuné (Evaluation) and actress Rebel Wilson (Deb).

But perhaps most exciting this year, and every year, is the unpredictable thrill of discovery: the possibility that any film we sit down with could become a lifelong favorite, introducing us to a brand new talent, making us look at the world in a way we’d never considered before.
